The past few days have been like a tornado has passed through the solar landscape.  Sifting through the mess are bits of hope.  Many of the solars appear to have focused on surprising cost reductions.  These numbers together with falling poly prices are helping to mute the negative impact of the  module ASPs drops.

Just as a general guideline it is looking like there is a slight shift in outlook for 2012:

Module Price of $1.05 – solars make half decent profits (a couple lose money)

Module Price of $1  – solars make marginal profits (some lose money)

Module Price of 95 cents – consider investing elsewhere
